By Noué is a multicultural inclusive project celebrating bold and talented women around the world.

It was founded in 2015 on Christmas Eve in Lyon, France, by a womenfolk from the Kingdom of Dahomey, now known as Benin. It is currently based in Sydney, Australia.

We are a 100% Black-owned, Women-owned & Family-owned venture, partnering with innovative Queen-owned businesses to bring you the best of African Prints. 

African prints - also called Ankara fabrics or Wax fabrics - are sold almost exclusively by women-owned businesses in West Africa. They are a staple pillar of local economies, and a forceful illustration of women empowerment.

Our collections are handmade in West Africa.
They acknowledge culture, empowerment, femininity, confidence, and style, providing Queens on all sides of the world with the opportunity to nurture their originality, and express their identities.

Sisterhood and transparency are at our core : we pride ourselves on conducting business in a manner that respects and uplifts our entire supply chain, including Mother Earth.

We only use high-quality African Prints fabrics: comfortable, soft, breathable and durable. Ankara fabrics are exceptionally robust and versatile by nature, but also made fade-resistant thanks to a thin layer of wax applied on top of them. Premium Wax fabrics are one of the strongest clothing materials available on the market.
